By now we’re all pretty much over this quarantine situation, although we know in the backs of our heads that it’s for the best. It’s still hard, though. We feel overwhelmed sometimes. Or we feel that this thing will never end, and we can’t get back to what we knew as normal life.
The following quotations I found online may set us straight on what is important and give us a new perspective on everything that’s throwing our mojos off!
“When we long for life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure.” – Peter Marshall
“We don’t even know how strong we are until we are forced to bring that hidden strength forward.” – Isabel Allende
“If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” – Martin Luther King Jr
“Persistence and resilience only come from having been given the chance to work though difficult problems.” – Gever Tulley
“You have power over your mind – not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.” – Marcus Aurelius
“We do not have to become heroes overnight. Just a step at a time, meeting each thing that comes up, seeing it is not as dreadful as it appeared, discovering we have the strength to stare it down.” – Eleanor Roosevelt
So let’s take Eleanor Roosevelt’s advice and discover our own strengths in these trying times. We are stronger than we think! God knows we are, and He’s always right, right?
