The June Compassion Offering is the Restorative Justice program which works with the Longmont Community Justice Partnership (LCJP).
Longmont Community Justice Partnership (LCJP) is an alternative to court where people who’ve been directly involved or impacted by crime and conflict have a safe place to talk through what happened, who was affected, and how harm can be repaired. LCJP partners with Longmont Police, St. Vrain Valley Schools and other local organizations to provide this opportunity for over 200 crime victims and people who take responsibility for a crime each year. Through restorative justice with LCJP, people who take responsibility for a crime, victims and their families can find healing and reintegration with their community. People who complete restorative justice will not have a criminal charge for the incident on their record. LCJP also offers training in restorative approaches to conflict to organizations, businesses and government agencies.
