What an amazing story: from the Heart of Longmont to the OUR Center to our neighbors in need in Longmont…

We all know the need is great, and we all want to make a difference. Over the last year, more families than ever have been seeking resources to help stabilize their lives. Many households have never had to ask for help but find themselves in a crisis not of their own making and often do not know where to turn.

One of our partners in addressing the needs of our community is the OUR Center, the focus of our Lenten food drive and our March compassion offering.

Again, YOU showed up BIG!!! The food drive provided 1,777 pounds of food (two pickup loads of food) to the OUR Center grocery distribution; this provided food to approximately 30 families experiencing food insecurity (the OUR Center is currently seeing an average of 70 households per day getting groceries).

You also provided $2,965 through your compassion gifts. The OUR Center used the financial support to help several families remain in their homes and keep utilities on. In many cases the direct financial assistance on behalf of a family allows the family to avoid homelessness.
