In response to the economic impact of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Heart of Longmont established the Acts 4 Love Fund. In the fourth chapter of the Book of Acts we hear this about the early church: There was not a needy person among them, for as many as owned lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold. They laid it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need. (Acts 4:34-35)
The point of the Acts 4 Love Fund is to help provide some economic relief to those in our congregation who may have been affected by loss of income, lay-offs or furloughs. Since we know the long-term impact of the pandemic will be felt for a long time, we want to make sure there are funds to help others.
