We at the Heart of Longmont provided bell ringers for Sat Dec 19, 2020, at the King Soopers at Pace. Between 10 and 15 people sent an hour on that day ringing the bells which brought in about $2,310. Even with the pandemic you folks were gracious to participate in this yearly holiday project. Our share was just part of their $36,616 total for the season. Here is part of their Thank You Newsletter to participants:

When we started 2020, we could not have imagined a pandemic changing nearly every aspect of our world. Thank you for sticking with us and serving your community through the annual Red Kettle Campaign. Considering we were only at three locations, and we limited our groups and hours, we are very pleased with the results!

By the numbers: In 2020, we helped 58 families (144 people) with assistance with rent, utilities, and temporary shelter. Screening for assistance is done by the Resource Team at OUR Center. The affects of the pandemic were evident in service numbers. Our partners at OUR Center served 60,418 meals, gave out 1,150,379 pounds of groceries, and distributed $1,123,763 in financial assistance for rent and utilities, a 371% increase over 2019!
