Vacation Bible School in Longmont
This isn’t your parents’ VBS—because honestly, nobody wants to go to school in June!
At Heart of Longmont, we decided to turn a Vacation Bible School into the Vacation Bible Camp.
This is not a sit-down-and-listen kind of event. We believe kids learn best when they are moving, exploring, creating, playing, and having fun. Our week is filled with hands-on, kid-friendly activities that help children experience Bible stories and Christian values in ways that are engaging and developmentally appropriate for each age group.
Throughout the week, kids will explore exciting realms, complete challenges, play games, make crafts, meet new friends, and learn about Jesus. We want children to see Jesus as a light that helps us through hard, confusing, and sometimes scary moments in life. Not as a stiff or stuffy figure from long ago, but as someone full of kindness, compassion, courage, and love. Through games, stories, creativity, and play, kids will discover values and support that can guide them no matter what path they take in life.
This year, we decided to make the Vacation Bible Camp completely free for families. And yes, lunch is included! Our goal is simple: Send kids home happy, full, tired… and maybe just a little easier to put to bed that night.
We know you are looking for more than just childcare during the summer. Families want safe spaces where kids feel welcomed, included, encouraged, and loved. That is exactly what we strive to create at our Vacation Bible Camp in Longmont.
We also take children’s safety very seriously. All staff and volunteers are carefully vetted and screened before working with children, and we follow safety procedures designed to create a secure and supportive environment for every child.
Our VBS is open to all families, whether you attend church regularly or this would be your very first church event. We want every child to feel comfortable, supported, and excited to come back each day.
